'The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers, News: Series Stars Drop Details About The Show's New Character, New Power, Courtship
The sophomore season of The CW's hit superhero drama TV series "The Flash" just keeps getting more interesting. Aside from the highly-anticipated crossover episode event with "Arrow" Season 4, with details to be given below, the show is yet to introduce a new character and a new set of powers for its main hero.
Citing the details over at TVLine, it is revealed that in the Dec. 8 episode titled "Running to Stand Still," fans will finally get to meet Joe West's (Jesse L. Martin) son and brother to Iris (Candice Patton), Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale).
Right now, the Central City Police detective is still unaware that he has a son. Patton, on the other hand, dished out to the media outlet that the Christmas-themed segment will feature "a lot about family."
"It's a good Christmas episode, just like the last one. Good villain, good love and good heart," she told TVLine.
The Flash himself (Grant Gustin), will be having some troubles not only with the issue of metahumans but also with the matters of the heart.
In the same report from the publication, Gustin was quoted as saying that there will be some changes in Barry's relationship with Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten). With the fact that he can't exactly tell Patty some of the important things about him, their relationship could only get "a little harder" as they move forward with it.
Concerning Central City's safety, it seems like Barry has something new to help him fight as he faced, once again, the dreaded Rogues – Trickster (Mark Hamill), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), and the Weather Wizard (Liam McIntyre).
Gustin teased that this power is something that "he's never done before."
"It's kind of goofy in a way where it's very comic book-y. It's cool," he said in the same TV Line report.
For the meantime, "The Flash" Season 2 crossover with the Stephen Amell-starred DC TV series is finally airing this week. Titled "Legends of Today," the synopsis from The Futon Critic hinted that viewers will finally get to see Vandal Savage (Casper Crump), Kendra Saunders a.k.a. Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) and the Hawkman himself (Falk Hentschel).
"The Flash" Season 2 airs this Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
