Freeform's hit family drama TV series "The Fosters" Season 3 returns this week with a brand new episode that will see some interesting developments on the main characters. Meanwhile, fans of the series have been looking forward for when guest star Rosie O'Donnell will reprise her role as Rita. As it turns out, the wait won't be as long as what many have believed.
The spoiler report from The Futon Critic for the upcoming episode titled "If And When" tells of Jude (Hayden Byerly) meeting a new friend whom he'll get close with instantly. Jude's rather quick attachment to his new acquaintance will catch the attention of Callie (Maia Mitchell) who will be surprised to know that Jude is now spending so much time with Jack, "a quirky foster teen they met a foster youth event."
Fans could be wondering as to where this friendship could lead them. The fact is, Jude is currently having something like a long distance relationship and given the loneliness and the need for attention, this new guy could really become a potential love interest for him.

TFC went on to tease about Brandon (David Lambert) and Mat finally opting to make a Romeo & Juliet-inspired rock musical for their senior thesis project. All is well between the two as they lay out the blueprints of the project, except for one detail: each of them has a different prospect to play the part of Juliet.
In another development, Jesus (Noah Centineo) will ask Ana (Alexandra Barreto) some sensitive family questions.
Meanwhile, Carter Matt reported that the fan-favorite guest cast Rosie O'Donnell is coming over to the show to reprise her role as Rita.
As detailed by the media outlet, she will be appearing in a Feb. 22 episode called "Minor Offenses." In the episode, Callie will seek the character's help over some issues concerning a new foster care reform bill.
