'The Good Wife' Season 7 Spoilers: Legal Issues For Alicia, Lucca
The latest episode of CBS' hit legal drama TV series "The Good Wife" Season 7 was charged with tension and filled with emotional scenes.
According to Carter Matt, the episode titled "Judged" saw Julianna Margulies engaging in a legal battle with a stubborn judge when she found out that an innocent man was wrongfully convicted. It became a real problem for the character as the sitting judge opted to fight back. Alicia and Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) are now in quite a difficult spot as the court official decided to sue the pair.
For Alicia in particular, things are beginning to crumble down around her as she is now short on funds and her reputation as a legal counsel is now tainted. Moreover, Peter (Chris Noth) ended up losing in the presidential race.
The media outlet speculated that based on Alicia's current dire circumstances, maybe the character realizes that it's about time to let go of her pride and settle her differences with Diane (Christine Baranski) and Cary (Matt Czuchry). Perhaps fans will see her in one of the upcoming episodes working for the two once again. Carter Matt added that Lucca might also join Alicia on her way back to Lockhart, Agos and Lee.
Meanwhile, it has been reported earlier that executive producers Michelle and Robert King will be leaving after the current season. Margulies, on her part, dropped a bombshell earlier this month during the Casting Society of America's third annual Artios Awards event.
The 49-year-old gave a few hints in her statement that she may not take part in the CBS series after Season 7.
"I surprised Robert and Michelle tonight. They didn't know I was going to be here. They think I'm here for them, but I'm unemployed come April, and I think you haven't seen me in a while, at least not in person, so I thought I should show up," the actress was quoted as saying by Vulture.
"The Good Wife" Season 7 will be taking a short break and will be back with a Valentines Day episode called "Monday."
