'The Little Mermaid' Live-Action Movie News: Chloë Grace Moretz Talks Ariel
Every Disney girl knows Ariel and her long, red hair, and with the coming of a live-action movie that stars Chloë Grace Moretz as "The Little Mermaid," there is a lot of fun coming for fans who loved not only the mermaid princess but Sebastian as well.
In an interview with Teen Vogue last month, Moretz addressed the issue about what hair color she will sport in the upcoming movie. She initially said she will not have her hair color changed for the iconic role and her comments made some fans think that she might not be ready to take on Ariel.
"I actually don't know what the hair color's gonna be. That got so blown out of proportion," she explained. At the time of the interview, there was no director tapped for the role yet, and Moretz said once the movie gets a director, everything else will follow and fans can hopefully get a "really good candid photo" of how her Ariel will look like.

She also mentioned that her jam will still be "Part of Your World" since all Ariel fans know very well that the song has played a very crucial role in the original's publicity.
December was a good month for production as The Wrap revealed that a director has finally been recruited for the much-awaited film. Sources who are knowledgeable about the movie told the outlet that Rebecca Thomas, who has also been tapped for "Looking for Alaska," will be directing the movie.
Thomas and Moretz have reportedly talked to each other so it is expected that a big announcement will come out soon. Rumor has it that a representative will announce the start of production anytime in the coming months, as well as the other cast members, so fans can expect that an actor for Eric and Sebastian will be out in no time.
There is no official release date announced yet for the movie as it has not yet received a green light from Universal Studios and Working Title.
