'The Originals' Season 3 Episode 14 Spoilers: The Mikaelsons Find Help from a Salvatore

The highly anticipated crossover event between The CW's hit supernatural drama TV series "The Originals" season 3 and "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 is finally happening this week.

The first order of the night will find TVD character Stefan (Paul Wesley) heading over to New Orleans in the episode titled "Moonlight on The Bayou." Spoiler reports indicate that Stefan will be forced to leave his town, Mystic Falls, to run away and protect his loved ones from the ongoing threats of a vengeful vampire hunter, Rayna Cruz (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore). Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore) will be the one to help Stefan find a good place to hide while he's in town.

His visit, meanwhile, could be a blessing in disguise for the Mikaelsons. According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for this week's episode "A Streetcar Named Desire," Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) will find themselves in a dire situation as they are currently trapped in a magical spell. Grabbing the opportunity are Aya (guest star Tracy Ifeachor) and her allies of the Strix coven of witches who will make their move to bring down one of the brothers.

Fortunately, Freya (Riley Voelkel) won't sit still until she can sweep her brothers out from the tight spot. The TFC summary said that she will enlist the help of Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), and the visitor in town, Stefan, in a mission that could prove to be dangerous even for their kind. Davina (Danielle Campbell), on her part, is now getting closer to finally reuniting with a loved one.

Executive producer Julie Plec wrote on Entertainment Weekly (EW) telling fans to brace themselves for some "great scenes reminiscent of season 3 Klaus and Stefan moments" during the crossover event.

Moreover, Plec revealed that the episodes will drop hints as to how "The Originals" might conclude its current season.

"You can expect Stefan to get sucked into the Mikaelson's sire line drama. As one of Klaus' sire lines, Stefan finds himself in quite a predicament as Klaus's life is threatened by the return of the White Oak," the series executive said in her EW entry.

"The Originals" season 3 airs Fridays, at 9 p.m. on The CW.
