'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7 Spoilers: Klaus and Caroline's Future
Fans have been wondering what else is to come now that Klaus and Caroline have reunited once again on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7.
The past season of the series have revealed that Klaus, played by Joseph Morgan, and Caroline, played by Candice Accola-King, had a romantic history. With that, fans are aware that Klaus has been crazy over Caroline every since.
Now that Stefan, played by Paul Wesley, has decided to focus more on saving his brother, rather than continue his relationship with Caroline, there are speculations that Klaus and Caroline could rekindle their relationship. The previous episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 saw Klaus calling Caroline and telling her that he has always respected and cared for her. This had fans believing that there is a future for the two.

With that, the executive producer of the series Nichael Narducci, was able to address the fans' concerns regarding the two. He explained that while he is happy to see fans rooting for Klaus and Caroline, it is unlikely that they will get back together.
According to TV Line, he said, "I don't want to speak for what they're doing on [The Vampire Diaries], but it certainly seemed like Klaus was saying to Caroline that he would always care for her and respect her, but that he understood she had moved on. I know there are fans that want that relationship to continue, so I'm sure there are people who will read this and howl and be angry; I can't fault them for their passion."
However, he did share that it is evident that Klaus still has strong feelings for Caroline. This can be seen with his interaction with Stefan. Narducci stated, "To me, if you still love someone and you know someone else is with them, you're not wishing them well and saying, 'Take good care of her.' It's impossible for him not to hate Stefan in that moment — unless he's willing to let Caroline move on."
