'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7 Spoilers: More Relationships to Progress
The return of "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 will be focusing on the relationships of several characters.
The previous half of "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 gave a shocking revelation that changed both Caroline, played by Candice Accola-King, and Alaric's, played by Matt Davis, life. Apparently, Caroline is pregnant with Alaric's twins.
With that, the series will soon be portraying the progress of Caroline and Alaric's relationship now that they have to deal with the birth of their children. However, it seems as though their relationship will be facing some challenges, especially since Caroline will be having a hard time getting over her relationship with Stefan, played by Paul Wesley.

Another relationship that will be featured in the return is the one between Enzo, played by Michael Malarkey, and Bonnie, played by Kat Graham. A previous episode revealed that the two will be a couple after three years. However, before they develop, it was teased that Enzo will have to face an obstacle.
It was revealed that a new character named Alex, played by Mouzam Makkar, will soon be introduced to the series. Her presence will unravel the past of Enzo. According to TV Line, the executive producer of the series, Caroline Dries, recently shared some insight about the upcoming plot line.
She said, "As he's trying to find his place in the world, she comes in and says, 'Let me help you out with that.' Is she good? Is she bad? What's her bigger agenda? We'll pull back her layers as the season goes on."
Aside from Makkar's new character, it was revealed that a familiar face will also be arriving when the season returns. It was stated that Tyler Lockwood, played by Michael Trevino, will be heading back to Mystic Falls.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will return on The CW this Jan. 29.
