'The Walking Dead' Season 6 News, Spoilers: Lauren Cohan, Scott Gimple On 'Biggest Finale' Ever
With the series of shocking deaths in the back half of its sixth season, it appears that AMC's "The Walking Dead" will be going full throttle with the blood and gore in its remaining two season 6 episodes.
Fans of the hit zombie apocalypse series and the "Walking Dead" comic book series on which it is based already know that a new main villain, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), will take out a fan favorite character in this season's much-anticipated and much-hyped finale. In the comics, it is Glenn (Steven Yeun) who Negan beats to death with Lucille, his barbed wire-covered baseball bat.
But while fans debate whether it will be Glenn or another main character (Daryl? Carol? Maggie?) who meets a gruesome death at the end of season 6, actress Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie, says that the season ender will nevertheless be "the biggest finale" in television history.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight during the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" premiere in New York City on Sunday, March 20, Cohan said, "It's the biggest finale I've ever seen in television."
"In any episode of TV, maybe barring the last episode of the 'Sopranos,' but that's a different kind of fish," the actress added.
As fans know, Maggie is Glenn's currently pregnant wife. Some fans have suggested that it could be Maggie who gets offed by Negan, but many believe that killing a pregnant character might be too much even for "The Walking Dead."
Meanwhile, "TWD" showrunner Scott M. Gimple also spoke about Negan's long-awaited arrival on the show, telling Entertainment Weekly, "He is a singular character, I think, of the last 10 to 20 years of popular culture."
According to the "TWD" boss, he was "blown away" when he first read about the character and talked about him with "Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman.
"Through another lens, he's not a bad guy at all in the comic," he explained. "He does some horrible things, but our people do some horrible things. He is, though, this unrepentant a-hole. He is somebody who is the ultimate bully."
"The Walking Dead" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
