'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Deadliest Episode Yet

The return of "The Walking Dead" season 6 is expected to bring much excitement to the small screens.

It was reported that the midseason premiere of "The Walking Dead" will present bloody scenes that will bring an end to many characters. During an interview with MTV, one of the show's executive producers shared some interesting teasers about the episodes to come.

He stated, "I think it's going to get bad pretty quickly [laughs]. Whereas the first half of the season, we played with time shifting a lot. We had black and white sequences in the premiere, and we were sort of playing with our timeline a little bit."

The previous episode ended with zombies breaking through Alexandria. However, it seems as though the group's biggest threat has yet to arrive. A new character is expected to bring more trouble. It was reported that Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be joining the cast to play the notorious Negan, who comic book fans know has a reputation for violence.

Nicotero added, "The second half of the season, now that we've introduced this new group of people who are clearly ruthless, the timeline is going to be much more linear in terms of propelling us forward at an accelerated rate, as each episode continues."

Although Negan has yet to be introduced, the midseason finale of season 6 showed Negan's crew meeting Grimes and the rest of the group. Negan's group, called the Savior, are supposedly filled with vicious members. One of the members is named Dwight, who is supposedly Negan's partner in crime.

Another group is expected to bring challenges to the series. It was revealed that Xander Berkeley will be joining the series as the character Gregory, who is the leader of the Hilltop Colony. With that, it can be expected that the episodes ahead will have the group heavy handed. These new characters are speculated to be the reason why many characters are expected to die when the season returns.

"The Walking Dead" season 6 will return on AMC this Feb. 14.
