'Thor: Ragnarok' News Update: What Chris Hemsworth Thinks Will Improve the Movie

As the Marvel Universe continues to expand and explore the worlds beyond, fans are now looking at what "Thor: Ragnarok" will have to offer, especially with the many other superhero movies threatening the "Thor" franchise.

For the most part, "Thor" is one of the least celebrated franchises from Marvel, and Chris Hemsworth believes there is one thing that it lacks: humor. In a recent interview with Cinema Blend, the actor said, "I think [Thor 3] needs to be injected with that sort of smart wit and unexpected kind of humor," referring to the James Gunn hit, "Guardians of the Galaxy."

Hemsworth thinks his character, as well as the rest of the team, can pull off a more humorous approach, which is obviously something that moviegoers are so into, not to mention the massive success of "Iron Man" movies.

While it would be somehow difficult to inject humor into Thor, who is a powerful god who doesn't joke around with foes and when his beloved world is mentioned, it would be a breath of fresh air for fans to see the thunder god jesting around or throwing humorous punch lines.

That said, it seems Hemsworth is throwing off some advice for Marvel president Kevin Feige to listen to what he has to say. After all, he is the man behind the Mjolnir and fans would be in a frenzy if someone else were to take over the hammer.

On the other hand, a new director by the name of Taika Waititi is said to be on the way for "Thor 3." This could mean that the third installment will finally be helmed with all the missing pieces that fans think is necessary for them to purchase a ticket.

It was also confirmed earlier that the upcoming film will delve deeper into the rest of the worlds that were not mentioned or explored in the first two movies. Fans are expected to enter seven other realms that are famous in the comic books. This means there will probably be more gods and aliens introduced in the movie.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is slated for release on July 28, 2017.
