The Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets have one thing in common — Rex Ryan. The Buffalo coach has been waiting for this moment to face his old team and the time has finally come. Ryan and the rest of the Bills go to East Rutherford and play the Jets with the second place in the AFC East at stake.

It was no fairy tale ending for Ryan and the Jets last season when the team fired the 52-year-old and this game should be a showcase of how the coach's "ground and pound" concept could very well down the team he previously trained to use it. There were several games when Bills players couldn't embrace with the run, but it should be fair to say that the ground game is looking like a perfect fit for the team so far. As for the Jets, the team's defense has always been mean, thanks to one of the league's most potent defensive lines.

This game will therefore be an interesting matchup for the Bills' running game and the Jets' defensive front. There are several lead blockers for Buffalo who can win it for them, while the Jets will rely on utter strength. Buffalo is currently fourth in the league with an average of 4.8 yards-per-carry, while the Jets come in seventh in the league when it comes to giving up yards per carry at 3.8.

Meanwhile, the Bills will also have to come up with a sound game plan to stop Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Jets' quarterback may be carrying with him an injured thumb, but his performance against Jacksonville last Sunday is a testament of what he can do even when he's not fully healthy.
