Titanfall DLC: 'Expedition' Expansion Introduces 3 New Maps, Free Update in May

Titanfall's first DLC, Expedition, will arrive in May with three new maps, and free updates which include burn cards and multiplayer modes are coming soon.

According to Polygon, the expansion pack will take place after the multiplayer campaign. The three maps are called, Swampland, Runoff, and War Games. The first takes place in alien ruins and lets gamers run through trees. The second level involves bringing the giant Titans into the water. The last is based on the game's training simulator.

This DLC can be purchased on its own, or be bought through the Season's Pass, which will cost $24.99.

The announcement of the new DLC came at the PAX East 2014 retrospective panel. Polygon reported, Respawn may be taking the HUD out of video capture, and also are looking to give gamers options in customizing their Titans along with daily rankings and challenges.

Respawn will be testing some of their upcoming changes in a two-week window period to test how popular the updates are.

Titanfall has garnered praise for the way they handle cheaters in the PC version of the game.

"Titanfall uses FairFight to detect cheaters on PC. Since the launch of Titanfall, we've been collecting data on people who are cheating on PC but not immediately enforcing bans. As of Friday, March 21st, that has changed and we have started banning cheaters in Titanfall," wrote developers on the Titanfall website.

However, getting banned is not the end for cheaters, they will still have an opportunity to play, except the catch is, it will be with other cheaters.

"You can play with other banned players in something that will resemble the Wimbledon of aimbot contests," an FAQ on the game's site read. "Hopefully the aimbot cheat you paid for really is the best, or these all-cheater matches could be frustrating for you. Good luck."

Important to note is that anyone playing with a cheater for that round will also be suspended for the duration of that play session. For those who feel their ban was a mistake, they can email Titanfall at [email protected].
