Tori Spelling Sued by AMEX for $38K Debt
In Hollywood fashion, American Express has sued Tori Spelling for debts amounting to almost $38,000 as she has not been paying since last summer.
According to People, the actress has an outstanding balance of $37,981.97 and is being asked by AMEX to pay up as soon as possible. The outlet obtained court documents on the lawsuit, and according to the papers, the 42-year-old actress tried to use her credit card on June 26, 2015 but the transaction failed.
The lawsuit was filed on Jan. 13, and while the "Beverly Hills, 90210" has not said anything about the issue yet, her mother, Candy, had to spill the beans.

Candy was cornered by TMZ on Tuesday and was asked about the latest issue that her daughter's name is being involved in. When asked why her daughter has not been paying her AMEX bill, she said, "I don't know, extravagance, I guess."
The mother-and-daughter pair have had rough times and were at some point estranged from each other, but Candy said she has actually been helping Tori pay some of her bills to somehow lessen the mother of four's burdens.
"I'm paying all her bills now. I'm not paying extra like that, I'm not paying any back payments. Just for the house and the kids' school and the food," she detailed.
Meanwhile, Radar Online reports that Tori's husband, Dean McDermott, is on top of all the debts as he is now ordering his wife to start selling the family's properties so they can pay off their bills, probably including that AMEX amount.
While Tori is filming "Mother May I Sleep with Danger," her paycheck is reportedly not even enough to pay her debts since she has had a history of extravagance, just as her mother explained.
Since Tori has not given any statements about the lawsuit from her credit card provider, it is unclear how she will handle the situation, especially now that she is busy filming.
