But Nic is wildly talented, but I think that this one just wasn't as good ... Now we're gonna do season 3 and I think that one will be better."

Nevertheless, there is still hope that the series will debut another season. Fans believe that the third season of the series will provide a better script compared to the second season. However, there have yet to be any news regarding the matter.
Meanwhile, there are speculations on who will be casted for the upcoming season of the series. Fans began theorizing that Olivia Munn could be one of the cast members for the series. This is due to her recent Instagram post, which had a caption, "True Detective Season 3."
The photo she posted included Jason Bateman, Abby Lee, Jillian Bell, and T.J. Miller. However, there is still no official announcement from Munn or any source confirming the news.
Aside from Munn, fans have created their own potential cast members for the upcoming series. There are rumors that Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Gosling, James Franco, and Cara Delevigne will be part of "True Detective" Season 3.
