Two and a Half Men Lady? Female Character - Charlie Harper's Daughter - to Replace Angus T. Jones (VIDEO)

A Two and a Half Men lady character is set to join the show, according to new reports out this week.

The hit TV sit-com has consistently featured two men and a younger boy (the "half") throughout its seasons, however, the program could make a big change for the upcoming season by introducing a female character as one of the main characters on the show.

The CBS sitcom recently saw the departure of Angus T. Jones as a regular cast member, and it has now been reported that producers now hope to fill the void with the addition of a female cast regular.

The rumors of the female character were sparked by "an individual with knowledge of the plan," according to The Wrap on Wednesday.

According to reports, the new female character would be a woman who claims to be the daughter if Charlie Harper, who was played by Charlie Sheen before his controversial departure in 2011 after he suffered a breakdown with numerous outbursts of bizarre behavior.

Sheen rebuked writers behind the show and was then unceremoniously killed off on the show, with Ashton Kutcher then hired to be the main lead character, playing Internet billionaire Walden Schmidt.

Now, however, writers are rumored to be planning to introduce a surprise character – the secret daughter of Charlie Harper, who will move in with Schmidt and Charlie's brother, Alan Harper, who has been played by Jon Cryer since the show began.

Jones left after the recent season, and he too made controversial headlines last year when he labeled the show as "filth" and urged viewers to stop watching the program. He rebuked the content of the show, and explained that he believed it was not good for people.

His comments made headlines and he later issued a humble apology stating that he did not mean to offend anyone on the show, and described that they had been like a family to him as he grew up working on the show.

Jones continued on the show, but eventually left at the conclusion of the recently finished season.
