Lastly, the FBI agent died and the second season finale concluded with an Abbie carrying a human child. The third season will bring in a new breed of Abbies. With the human race nearing extinction, the reaction of humans towards despair, escapism and hope will be seen in the upcoming season.

The third season might also get rid of the Abbies once the humans awaken from the sleep. However, this might be a too optimistic view for now. Since it has been seen that the Abbies are quicker to adapt than humans, this changing world might get humans to evolve into Abbies.
