Windows 10 Mobile News: Launch Set Back Another Month

Microsoft has gone from amazing to excellent when it announced the release of Windows 10 for mobile phones, but just as speculated by some earlier, the launch has been delayed.

It was initially reported by some outlets that the rollout will happen this week. However, multiple outlets now state that Windows 10 Mobile will be out sometime in February — an announcement that won't do good for Microsoft phone users.

Another bad news has hit the Microsoft community as it was recently reported that the service update for Lumia 950 and 950 XL has also been delayed. This means users will have to bear with any discrepancies with their devices while the patch isn't available.

According to Venture Beat, an email was sent by Microsoft to its partners, and while it is clear that the OS is not yet ready, the tech giant seems to find it difficult to convey the message as it is.

It is clear that Microsoft isn't pressured by the demand for the software, despite consumers looking forward to the awesome system. On the other hand, experts deem that the company is just making sure everything will be fluid and smooth once Windows 10 is released.

Over the past few months, fans have started to lose faith in the company after it was rumored that an upgrade was on the way for Lumia this month. As it turns out, no upgrade will be available until around mid-February and bugs will keep battering Lumia phones until the patch arrives.

Aside from the delayed patch rollout, fans have been complaining about issues with the new Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, but it seems Microsoft is busy with something else that the problems have not been resolved until now.

The Inquirer says the company is prepping to release a final Lumia phone during the first week of February, the Lumia 650. It is speculated that preparations for the 650 are most likely keeping Microsoft from beating the timeline for other projects such as patch releases.
