WWE AJ Styles News: The Phenomenal One Enters Survivor Series

After earning his nickname during his face off with Finn Balor at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs last Oct. 22 AJ Styles might once again serve as the key to Survivor Series this Nov. 19.

The Phenomenal One is the wild card of this storyline after nearly 18 years of making his living in the bush leagues. The wrestling world was happy for him when he made the transition to the mainstream although many thought it wasn't going to last.

And this has nothing to do with his skills as he is arguably the best in the business when it came to pro-wrestling. It mainly had to do with the organization itself as time and again, the WWE demonstrated that it cannot deliver when it matters the most.

Signing in with the WWE means conforming to Vince McMahon's vision and that could potentially change Styles and not necessarily for the better. He could be lost along the way and leave a defeated man returning to the world from whence he came.

But allowed to his own devices, Styles has the potential to flourish and can even take the WWE to new heights. Fans wanted Styles and the organization wisely choose to give him. He once again proved this when he faced The Demon at TLC even if it was only to stand-in for Bray Wyatt.

The match could also be the launching point for whatever plans the WWE has for Survivor Series. There has to be a plan from the WWE Creative not just for the event but for its aftermath. And while he isn't the only one at the event, there's definitely major emphasis on The Phenomenal One.

For now, Styles appears to be with Team SmackDown on Nov. 19 but a defection to RAW could drastically change the landscapes of both brands. AJ is an integral part of the storyline and when he moves, no pun intended, the WWE goes with him.
