WWE Latest News and Rumors: Is Hideo Itami Returning to the WWE?

It's true that the WWE has recently been hurt by a string of injuries and hiatus to its stars. The good news, though, is that some also successfully returned to action while another one is teasing fans about him returning to the show.

After being absent for almost a month after a rumored neck injury, Stardust returned to the ring in WWE's live event in the Madison Square Garden, though he didn't have a successful comeback after getting dumped by Titus O'Neill.

But the more interesting news is that former wrestling star Hideo Itami may actually be realistically close to making his WWE NXT return after committing himself to rehabilitation. The source of the rumor is his tweet last Wednesday where he specifically mentioned "My turn."

When Itami signed with NXT last fall, he made sure his entry to the scene was hyped enough to generate interest in him; and he was quite successful at that. His debut fight was with The Ascension, but his partnership with Finn Ballor at NXT TakeOver: R Evolution catapulted him to stardom.

But the Japanese wrestling star began having difficulties adjusting to the kind of wrestling in the United States. People started to see that his matches inside the ring were becoming dull and boring and that he wasn't properly adjusting to the difference. However, he showed some promise earlier this year by learning to speak more English and showing more skills inside the ring. Apparently, his matches became a bit more exciting for fans.

His career was derailed when he suffered a serious shoulder injury early this year, forcing the WWE to scrape him off the NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable. Because the injury required him to rest for at least six months, interest in him eventually dwindled.

But news about him making a return should be a welcoming one for the WWE, especially with all those recent injuries in its lineup of stars.
