WWE Rumors 2016: Are They Hiring New Japan Pro Wrestlers?

Rumors are flying around that the WWE is planning on signing four New Japan Pro Wrestling stars, which if true, will make it very interesting for its followers. Anyway, the entertainment company may already have confirmed it with an article from its official website. Here's an excerpt:

Numerous media outlets reported Monday that AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson and Luke "Doc" Gallows — most recently of New Japan Pro Wrestling — are in negotiations to compete under the WWE banner.

The front page splash from their own website is an indirect admission of the rumors and it should be very interesting to see how fans will react to this. The same article said in the event that the plan pushes through, the acquisition of multiple pro wrestling talents from another promotion or wrestling company will become the most significant in the history of the WWE.

But one thing fans should remind themselves is that it really isn't surprising to see the members of the Bullet Club doing gigs in the United States because in the first place, they all hail from the same place. Gallows for his part did some work for the WWE, while Styles is known for a kind of personality who thrives in making deals with anyone who can pay him.

It still is unclear, though, how the WWE will market or use them. Some are saying that they would be put to NXT, while others are thinking about putting them directly to RAW or SmackDown. But regardless of where they start, it shouldn't be that much of a problem for the WWE because those names already have their following. As a matter of fact, Styles is one of the most popular figures in the independent wrestling industry. There is even some discussion that he will be used as a surprise participant in the Royal Rumble this month.
