Xbox Games With Gold February 2016 List: 'Hand Of Fate,' 'Styx: Master Of Shadows,' 'Sacred,' 'Gears Of War 2'
January has come and gone and now, it's the love month of February. For Xbox Live Gold members, the end of the month means the arrival of new free games for their Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
According to Xbox Wire, there will be two games coming up for each of the game consoles that will be made available for download, free of charge, among Xbox One and Xbox 360 Games With Gold subscribers. The latter platform, however, will get to have a total of four new titles thanks to the recent Backward Compatibility program.
For Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members, they can download and install the hit game from Defiant Development, "Hand of Fate," for the entire month. The unique action-RPG, which originally sells at $19.99, will pit players "beyond the thirteen gates at the end of world," where they get to play "the game of life and death."
The other Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold giveaway is the RPG from Cyanide Studio, "Styx: Master of Shadows." The game, which is originally priced at $29.99, will be up for grabs from Feb. 16 to March 15.
"Guide the goblin assassin Styx through the vertical and multi-layered Tower of Akenash, home to the World Tree, source of the Amber – a powerful and magical golden sap – prowling through the shadows with aide of a host of special abilities refined throughout Styx's 200 years of history," the game description reads (via Xbox.com).
Meanwhile, Xbox 360, Xbox Live Gold members will also be delighted with the side-scrolling action-brawler video game from the hit "Sacred" series, "Sacred Citadel." The game, which usually sells at $9.99 will be free from Feb. 1 up to Feb. 15.
The following day, Xbox 360, Xbox Live Gold members will finally get to play for no charge the critically-acclaimed third-person shooter video game, "Gears of War 2." Sold at $19.99, the game will be available for download until Feb. 29.
