Xbox Games With Gold January List: Four Free Titles To Enjoy

Time sure does fly fast and it's already the last week of 2015. In a few days' time, the whole world will greet 2016. For Xbox Live Gold members, the new month means the arrival of free games for their Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

According to Xbox Wire, there will be two games which will be available for download among Xbox One and Games With Gold subscribers. The titles are "Killer Instinct: Season 1 Ultra Edition" and "Zheros."

"Killer Instinct: Season 1 Ultra Edition" will be up for grabs starting January 1 up to the end of the month. Sold originally at $39.99, the pack includes all of the eight characters from Season 1, while the original edition only has one playable character. Touted by most gamers as a game that saw the merging of "Street Fighter" and "Mortal Kombat," the title is played by delivering fighting combos.

Next on the list is "Zheros" which will be made available starting January 16 and will remain until February 15. Compared closely to the classic "X-Men" game, players are pitted against enemies of which they need to shoot or beat in order to go to the next level.

Games with Gold and Xbox 360 owners are also in for some fun with these offerings.

Starting January 1-15, the well-received racing game called "DiRT Showdown" will be ready for download. Sold originally at $14.99, players get to design their own cars and have them race in assorted tracks while performing different cool driving tricks.

Next up is the "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" which sold at $14.99. The third-person game highlights the adventures of security expert turned cyborg, Adam Jensen. Like any popular POV game, gamers can select weapons and upgrade their armors as they go along the story. The aforementioned title will be available to play starting Jan. 16 up to Jan. 31.

Thanks to the new Microsoft backward compatibility program, Xbox One and Games With Gold members can enjoy the "DiRT Showdown" and "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" as well.
