'Z Nation' Season 3 News, Update: Show Boss Teases New Character, Location
Syfy's hit zombie apocalypse drama TV series "Z Nation" is now gearing up to deliver its highly anticipated third season. In the midst of the holidays, new updates about season 3 have been surfacing, giving the fans some ideas on what to expect when the show returns to the small screens.
The latest information that trickled down online earlier this week points out to DJ Quall's character Citizen Z making his way out from his former zombie shelter. According to the latest reports, Simon Cruller will make contact with a new entity.
As to who could this person be, series creator Karl Schaefer confirmed to TV Insider that the character in question is a 'she.'
"It's an Eskimo girl, and the story's going to take a turn that not many people will be expecting at all," he said.
In the same interview, Schaefer went on to tease more about the former arctic denizen in Season 3. As he said, viewers will find Citizen Z down in the lower 48.
"I'm not sure, though. I can't promise anything yet. It's only Day 2 in the writers' room," he told the media outlet.
These events will certainly bring down changes on the show. Speculations even pointed out that the PFC might finally meet the members of Operation Bitemark.
Speaking of the latter, a new promo video for the upcoming season was shared over at YouTube and it showed the gang once again fighting their way out from the undead.
However, not everything in season 3 will be about zombie slaying. According to Schaefer, the show is "all built on unpredictability" and that no one really knows what's going to happen next.
"I would say, as different as Season 2 was from Season 1, Season 3 will be that again. There will be lots of zombies and lots of gore, everything people come to a zombie show for, but the world is going to evolve again, as will Murphy. Murphy will look and behave in a whole new way," the EP told TV Insider.
"Z Nation" season 3 is slated to return 2016.
