Zsa Zsa Gabor Mansion Sold on Deferred Agreement: $325,000 for 3 Years or Until Death

Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, has worked to ensure that the famous star will be able to spend the last of her days in her Bel Air mansion.

Anhalt, Gabor's ninth husband, has made arrangements in court that will allow his 96-year-old wife to keep her Beverly Hills mansion for the next three years. Gabor's publicist confirmed the deal to Reuters. In it, a Los Angeles lawyer agreed to allow the couple a deferred home sale transaction.

For the next three year Anhalt and his wife, who have had money troubles, will be able to remain in the house while receiving $325,000 a year from the home's buyer. The term will end sooner, if Gabor dies within that time.

Zsa Zsa Gabor, 96, has suffered from ailing health for some time. She became paralyzed during a 2002 accident, which left her in a wheelchair and she suffered two strokes in 2005 and 2007. In 2010 she was required to undergo hip replacement surgery. A subsequent infection in 2011 forced her to have her left leg amputated. Throughout 2011 she underwent multiple hospitalizations.

But despite her age and ailments, Gabor has previously suggested that she is still going strong. For her birthday last year she hosted a celebration with invitations that revealed the former actress' sense of humor.

"Well it's time to come clean and tell the truth, I can't hide it any more, for the first time I'll be celebrating my real birthday candle count," the invitation read. "Over the years I may have overlooked a year or two (or 20), but not this year."

The invitation included a promise of more birthdays to come. "I love you and I hope to see you, but if you can't make it don't worry, I'm planning on celebrating more birthdays over the coming years…" she wrote.
