In 2016, Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders of Vermont gave eventual Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton a surprisingly viable primary challenge.

There is strong speculation that the 77-year-old will run for president again, with an Iowa poll from December putting Sanders in second place among possible Democrat candidates.

Before he comments on his possible run, however, Sanders recently apologized in response to new revelations of extensive sexism and sexual harassment within his 2016 campaign.

In an interview with CNN on Wednesday evening, Sanders offered his apology to “any woman who feels like she was not treated appropriately.”
