On Friday, podcast host Tim Pool posted a video on Twitter of activists at New York City’s annual drag queen parade chanting, "We’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children."
Several of the people seen in the video are dressed in drag, while others are practically topless.
A woman who said that she went to the parade with her son told The New York Post that she disapproved of the chant, stating that she didn’t "think it was the right group or the right time to make a joke" like that.
Another individual and “longtime parade veteran” who spoke with the outlet dismissed the chant as having been "all in good fun."
