President Joe Biden, a Democrat who defeated Trump in 2020, posted to his Twitter account a video critical of the former president with the caption, "Donald Trump failed America."

The video included narration and quotes claiming that Trump passed "tax cuts for the rich and corporations," that he oversaw "record-breaking unemployment" (fueled by pandemic closures) during his term and that he is "the only modern president to leave office with fewer jobs than when he took office."
