4. Pastor Jack Graham: Be a good testimony to the community

Pastor Graham of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, announced that they have made “the difficult decision not to meet in person for services this weekend,” but will have online services only.

“I will bring a special message from Psalm 91, bringing hope in this time of crisis,” Graham said in the announcement on the church’s website. “As believers, let us remain calm and put our trust in our Savior, and let us be ever attentive to share that hope with those who are hurting.”

The pastor suggested that one tangible way to share hope is “by serving children who are missing free meals due to school closings.”

Graham also encouraged members to invite neighbors over to their homes. “What an incredible opportunity this is for us to shine our light, to be a good neighbor.”

“These are trying days, but we have a great God who is still on the throne and He hears our prayers!” he said. “Please pray for our church, our community, our nation and the world. Pray for those who have been infected with the coronavirus, pray for the most vulnerable, pray for the first responders and healthcare workers, and pray for our leaders.”
