1) 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

One of the greatest loves a woman can feel is the love for her child, and this verse reminds us of the beauty of that love.

2) Ephesians 6:1-3

"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother' — which is the first commandment with a promise —'so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.'"

Just as parents honor their children, so children must honor their parents.

3) Psalm 127:3

"Children are a heritage from the Lord. Offspring a reward from him."

By becoming a mother, you are receiving a great gift from God.

4) Proverbs 31: 25-31

"She is clothed with strength and dignity she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.' Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."

Faithful mothers and wives will be honored by God.

5) Proverbs 17:6

"Children's children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children."

Becoming a mother is a gift to the entire family.

6) Proverbs 127:3-5

"Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court."

Blessed is the man with many children.

7) Psalm 147:5

"Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit."

Although some women may feel anxiety about becoming new mothers, they must remember that God knows all and has a plan.
