The HP TouchPad and WebOS, the device's operating system were discontinued back in the summer when retailers were complaining that they were not able to move the tablet and had them sitting around in overstock.

Prices were slashed on the TouchPad and the device immediately started flying off shelves and became one of the most sought after and hard to find tablets on the market.

Meg Whitman, the new CEO of Hewlett Packard confirmed that the company will continue to specialize in manufacturing and selling hardware.

It has not been confirmed what the company will call these tablets.
