'American Idol' Season 11 Kicks off Wednesday
America's beloved reality series "American Idol" has entered its 11th season and will kick off a two-day special premiere Wednesday.
The season premiere will see the return of judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, and Randy Jackson. Ryan Seacrest will continue to host the show, marking is 11th season on Wednesday.
As a two-night special premiere, America's most extraordinary talent will be showcased on the show as the team visits several U.S. cities in search of contestants.

Auditions will continue with an extended primetime broadcast of "American Idol" on Sunday, Jan. 22 following the NFC Championship Game on FOX.
Contestants who impress the judges will be sent to Hollywood for the real test of talent. The "Hollywood Rounds" begin Thurs. Feb. 9.
Those who make it through Hollywood will then take on the "Performance Challenge," where they take the stage one last time before the top male and female semifinalists are selected. Those contestants will be reveled on Thurs. Feb. 23.
In honor of the 400th episode of the show, on Feb. 28th the first group of finalists will take the stage to sing for America's votes.
The long journey ends for the contestants on March 8 when the competition ends and America's votes reveal the winner.
On "American Idol" the judges contribute comments after each performance, but it is up to the viewers of the show to decide who will advance to the next round of the singing competition.
The Emmy Award-winning television series is responsible superstars of today such as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Scotty McCreery to name just a few.
