Ariana Grande Defends Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus

Ariana Grande, the singer who has opened up for Justin Bieber on his recent "Believe" tour, recently defended the 19-year-old Canadian crooner amid media speculation.

While Bieber has been the subject of media headlines for aggressive behavior, allegedly smoking marijuana, and an alleged recent tryst in South America, 20-year-old Grande said he is going through normal behavior.

"He can do whatever he wants. He's doing the same thing as every other boy in the world, you know. He's just under a microscope and scrutinized by people who don't know him," she told Reuters recently." I know him and he's a good person. He really is. He's a nice person. And everybody's like, ugh, never mind. But he's a good guy and he doesn't deserve what he's going through."

Aside from Bieber, Grande also defended fellow singer Miley Cyrus, who recently was seen seemingly smoking marijuana during her MTV EMA performance and has made headlines for her overtly provocative style.

"She's having so much fun. If her choices aren't for you, don't look at it, like, move on, talk about something else," Grande told Reuters. "Worry about bettering your life, not hers. She's fine. Her life is the best that could be right now. You know, that's what bothers me about society and people. It's like, shut up. Shut up!"

Grande previously defended herself after posting an image of Bieber planting a kiss on her cheek earlier this summer and received backlash from his fans and those who are fond of his on-and-off again relationship with entertainer girlfriend, Selena Gomez. However, Grande let it be known that she and Bieber have had nothing more but short exchanges.

"It's funny, everybody thinks we spent so much time together because we were touring, but really, I think I saw him once, and it was f or about five minutes," Grande revealed in a recent interview with J-14. "He played me 'Heartbreaker,' it was amazing, and then I left. It's like 'hey, great job, bye.'"
