Asus Pegasus X005 Specs News: Features Include 5.5-Inch Display, 13MP Camera, 2 GB of RAM


A restart in the calendar means new smartphones. This 2016, it is expected that new devices will be introduced in the coming months. Included in the list of tech firms that are gearing up to launch a new device is Asus.

According to Phone Arena, the Taiwanese multinational computer hardware and electronics company has manufactured a new handset dubbed as the Pegasus X005. It's predicted to come anytime soon as it has recently been spotted and certified in China by regulatory agency TENAA, which is usually the last stage before a device is made official.

Just like the previous models in the Pegasus series, the Pegasus X005 is aimed to be sold at the Chinese market. Although, there's a possibility that the device may be released in other countries as well.

For those who are interested to pick up the model once it is available, they can expect the Pegasus X005 to be a mid-range device with a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display. It will support full HD (1080 x 1920p) resolution and will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box. It will run along with Zen UI.

Android Geeks detailed that under the hood, one can find a 1.3 GHz octa-core chipset. It's not mentioned what processor it will be, but it will most likely be a MediaTek one. It will have 2 GB of RAM with a built-in storage capacity of 16 GB. It can expanded up to 32 GB through a microSD card slot.

As for the camera specs, the device is reported to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, autofocus and video recording and 5-megapixel front camera for taking selfies and video calls. The Asus Pegasus X005 also supports dual-SIM and offer 4G LTE, along with other standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.
