Bam Margera Puppy Threat: Jackass Star Apologizes for Holding Gun to Pit Bull (Photo)

Bam Margera has apologized after posting a photo of him threatening a puppy with a gun.

The "Jackass" star was trying to make a joke but some have taken the posting to heart and thought it was in bad taste.

Margera posted a photo of himself holding a toy gun to a small pit bull puppy's head. In the photo Margera can be seen holding a sign saying, "If she poops one more time she goes bye byes."

It is believe that the eight week old puppy is called "Sunny," and had been having trouble relieving itself in the appropriate way (i.e. not on Margera's bed).

The dog-gun photo was not the only one Margera posted onto his Twitter account. He also posted up pics of himself pointing a toy gun at a cat among others, however, it appears as though only the dog received the apology.

Margera's Twitter account has skyrocketed with 30,000 new Twitter followers since the photo was posted, and even though he did receive some backlash for the gun photos, the "Jackass" star admitted to the Philadelphia Inquirer, "All press is good press."

The 33-year-old is famed for being a professional skateboarder, as well as a television and radio personality. He came to prominence when he released a series of videos under the CKY banner, which led to him be recruited for the crew of hit MTV show "Jackass."

Since Jackass he has also appeared in MTV's "Viva La Bam" as well as "Bam's Unholy Union."

Jackass has also become a worldwide phenomenon and has claimed millions of cult fans across the globe. Margera has starred in all three Jackass movies, as well as Haggard and Minghags.
