Big Idea Holds 'Lord of the Beans' Premier
The world premiere of Big Idea’s newest animated adventure, VeggieTales: Lord of the Beans, was held this week at Carmike Thoroughbred 20 in Franklin, TN in anticipation of the video’s release tomorrow in the CBA marketplace.
The world premiere of Big Idea’s newest animated adventure, VeggieTales: Lord of the Beans, was held this week at Carmike Thoroughbred 20 in Franklin, Tenn., in anticipation of the video’s release Saturday in the CBA marketplace.
The premiere, which was held at Carmike Thoroughbred 20, drew nearly 1,000 people, including award-winning vocalist Nicole C. Mullen, members from bands such as Jars of Clay, Third Day, Newsboys, and popular recording artist Wynonna Judd, who sings the Lord of the Beans theme song “It’s About Love.”
Also attending the premiere were VeggieTales co-creators Mike Nawrocki (director of Lord of the Beans and voice of “Larry”) and Phil Vischer (writer of Lord of the Beans and voice of “Bob”).

VeggieTales: Lord of the Beans stars Junior Asparagus as Toto Baggypants and is a story that kids and parents can enjoy together about gifts and how to use what we have to help others, according to a statement released by Big Idea.
Vischer commented on his experience making the film.
“It was a blast to work with Big Idea on an all-new show, and I’m excited to share with kids a lesson about how God wants us to use our gifts,” said Vischer. “The world tells us if we have a really special gift, we should ‘live large,’ that we deserve the best of everything. Lord of the Beans helps kids understand that God gives us our gifts so we can enrich others, not ourselves.”
VeggieTales: Lord of the Beans has a running time of 45 minutes and will be available on DVD for $14.99 SRP and VHS $12.99 SRP.
