Brandon Marshall Upsets Fans After Dolphins Lose to Jets

Brandon Marshall, Miami Dolphins WR, upset fans Monday night with his performance in the team's fifth consecutive loss.

The Dolphins lost 24-6 to the New York Jets Monday night, after both teams were suffering from a losing streak. The Jets were able to win their first game after three consecutive losses.

Rex Ryan, Jets' coach, admitted that his team needed the win.

"We needed a win in the worst way," Ryan told reporters. "I'm just happy we found a way to get one."

Mark Sanchez, Jets' QB, agreed with his coach and said that the win boosted the team morale.

"It feels great," Sanchez said. "That's just what we needed to get back on track."

Although the Jets were happy to pull out a win at the end of the game, neither team played their best. In the first quarter, the Jets only had 10 yards on nine plays without a first down.

The Dolphins had trouble when approaching the end zone, and were forced to get 23 and 21-yard field goals. Marshall, who was only able to catch six passes for 109 yards, expressed his disappointment in his team's performance.

"This is embarrassing," Marshall said after the game. "We have way too many players in our locker room to be sitting at 0-5. We owe it to the city of Miami, to ownership to turn it (around)."

However, many blamed Marshall for the outcome of Monday night's game. Although Marshall caught a pass in the first-quarter and looked to be touchdown ready, the WR ran out of bounds at the 19-yard line.

Matt Moore, Dolphins' QB, threw to Marshall in the end zone before it was intercepted by Jets' cornerback Darrelle Revis. Another pass by Moore in the end zone managed to slip through the WR's fingers.

Skip Bayless, ESPN analyst, said Marshall is nothing more than talk.

"Brandon Marshall now talks much bigger game than he plays," Bayless tweeted. "Dolphins gave him many chances to take over game, even vs. Revis. Came up small."

An NFL fan agreed with Bayless on Twitter.

"Best I can tell, Brandon Marshall believes catching the ball is not necessarily a requirement of the job."

The Miami Dolphins are now 0-5 for the season, while the New York Jets are 3-3 after Monday night.
