The Bills come into today's game on 8-6 and will be hoping to inflict a 13th loss of the season on the poor 2-12 Oakland Raiders.

The Bills are second in the AFC East, although they are still be chased by the 7-7 Miami Dolphins who are in third. The New England Patriots of course have already secured the division title and come into the weekend on 11-3 and hoping to secure a number 1 seed placement in the AFC and with it secure home field advantage throughout the Playoffs.

Coming into Sunday's games the NFL Playoffs picture is still not fully firmed up. In the AFC division the New England Patriots currently have the number 1 seed spot with their 11-3 position. If they can hold on to that position until the end of the month then they will secure themselves home field advantage through the Playoffs.

But things are still uncertain, with the Denver Broncos also on 11-3 and in the second seed position.

The 10-4 Indianapolis Colts are the current third seeds and last week secured their division title. The Cincinnati Bengals are 9-4-1 and are currently in the 4th seed position but their place in the Playoffs is far from secure at the moment - they still have not confirmed their division title, and with the AFC North still very open with three teams still fighting for the title, the Bengals likely will have to win their final two games to secure their division and a top four seeding.

Both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens are on 9-5 and occupy the 5th and 6th seed positions coming into the weekend.

There are still a host of teams in the hunt for one of the Wild Card spots, including the 9-6 San Diego Chargers, the 8-6 Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills, and all three of the Houston Texans, Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns are on 7-7.

The NFC looks a little more certain with only 9 teams remaining in the Playoff hunt. The 11-3 Arizona Cardinals have the number 1 seed spot coming into the weekend, but they still can be caught by the Detroit Lions, who are in the number 2 seed spot with 10-4, or of course the Seattle Seahawks if Seattle can win today. Both the Cardinals and Lions have secured their Playoff berths already, but who will get home field advantage through the Playoffs is still up in the air.

None of the other postseason spots in the NFC have been confirmed yet. The 10-4 Dallas Cowboys now look almost certain to clinch the NFC East and with it a likely 3rd seed placing. The 9-6 Philadelphia Eagles have collapsed with three straight losses - their most recent a horrible defeat to the lowly Washington Redskins. That means if the Cowboys win today then they will clinch the division title.

The New Orleans Saints are 6-8 but are in the 4th seed spot coming into the weekend, where as the 10-4 Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers occupy the 5th and 6th seed spots respectively.

Although the Eagles are in the 7th seed spot, the chances of them catching the Cowboys are now very slim - they will need Dallas to lose both of their final games and to snap their own losing streak next week.

The 5-8-1 Carolina Panthers and 5-9 Atlanta Falcons are both still in the Playoffs race and will hope to overturn the Saints to claim the 4th seed spot, but again their destiny is not in their own hands.
