Carrie Underwood recently admitted that hectic schedules have made celebrating holidays impossible before, but after the arrival of her first child, the singer and her husband, Mike Fisher, will never miss a special celebration again.

The "Something in the Water" singer, who is expecting her first child with Fisher, is already looking forward to next Christmas with the new baby. However, Underwood said juggling careers and parenthood would be challenging for both herself and Fisher in the year to come.

"That's something that has definitely been on both our minds," the singer told CMT. "We are just crazy. Our lives are weird, you know? They're awesome, and we're so blessed, but we're coming and going and all that stuff, so we're definitely going to have to reevaluate everything and just make time, make room and make that a priority."

Ever since her "American Idol" win, Underwood has embarked on three worldwide tours — one per album, Carnival Ride, Play On and Blown Away. Moreover, the singer has made countless television performances, including a starring role in last year's Christmas TV event, a live performance of "The Sound of Music."

Alternately, Underwood's husband of four years plays professional hockey for the Nashville Predators and keeps a grueling schedule traveling with the team. Consequently, Underwood and Fisher have been forced to simply skip holidays in the past.

"Right now, my schedule and my husband's hockey schedule kind of dictate our holidays," Underwood explained to CMT.

Since the holidays will take on even more meaning with a new baby, Underwood and Fisher called for change and acknowledged the significance of family traditions.

"I told him recently, 'You know, I'm really tired of skipping holidays. So from this moment on, I think it's just so important, no matter where we are or what we're doing, we have to make it special,'" the singer added. "And, I think that's going to be our tradition. I hope that my kids later in life are going to be like, 'Mom always tried to make that special even if we were someplace crazy or dad was off playing hockey or something like that. She made it special.'"

Underwood, who is expecting a baby boy, is still climbing the charts with her latest faith-based hit, 'Something in the Water." The song incorporates Christian themes of conversion, baptism and keeping the faith. Watch the video below.
