Casey Anthony Living in $5.2M Mansion?

Casey Anthony may be living the good life, according to HLN’s Nancy Grace and several entertainment and tabloid reports.

On her show Monday evening, Grace reported that neighbors had spotted Anthony living in a five-bedroom, five-bathroom, $5.2 million mansion in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. The house reportedly belongs to one of Anthony’s former defense attorney, Todd Macaluso.

The mansion had been vacant for some time when Macaluso had put it on the market. Neighbors, according to Grace, now claim there is activity within the house and have spotted Anthony on the property. Anthony allegedly has 2 bodyguards living with her.

The mansion has an infinity pool and a helipad.

If in fact these allegations are true, so much for the saying “crime doesn’t pay.”

There is speculation that Anthony is staging photos in order to sell to news agencies. Every time the staged photo or video is run, Anthony can get up to 75 percent of the profits, according to Forbes blogger Kiri Blakeley. One photo can sell for $25,000 for just a one-time air.

This week, Chief Judge Belvin Perry is expected to decide whether to put Anthony on probation for check fraud. She admitted to writing fraudulent checks totaling over $600.

Anthony, 25, was released from an Orlando prison in July after being acquitted on charges that she murdered her then 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, in 2008.

Today would have been Caylee’s 6th birthday.
