Casey Anthony Will Not Get More Protection on Release
Following one of the most publicized and controversial verdicts in American history, officials have stated that they will not be providing Casey Anthony with heightened protection after her release on Sunday.
Sheriff Jerry Demings explained: “We will not be providing any elaborate security protection for Casey once she leaves [the jail].”
Even though Anthony will not receive any heightened security, officials will do everything in their power to ensure Anthony will not be a victim of individual civil justice.

Sheriff Demings has said that his office is coordinating with the county jail to ensure Anthony’s release on Sunday goes forward without any confrontation. He has said Anthony will receive the same protection every citizen is promised.
Anthony’s not guilty verdict has resulted in an extreme negative reaction from the general public with hundreds of death threats being sent to Anthony via Twitter and Facebook.
Officials have issued a warning to anyone thinking about trying to take justice into their own hands.
“A lot of people have strong sentiments about the outcome… Nobody has the right to take the law into their own hands,” Sgt. John Allen explained at a news conference with other members of the team that investigated Anthony.
The Casey Anthony trial concluded on July 5 when Anthony was found not guilty of all major charges including the murder of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony.
Anthony was convicted on four counts of lying to investigators and sentenced to four years in jail, but is being released Sunday based on time served in pre-trial detention and good behavior.
