CD Projekt RED Punishes 'The Witcher 3' Cheaters with Giant Horned Monster (VIDEO)
CD Projekt RED has come up with an innovative way to fine players cheating to get unlimited money in "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt."
Polish game developer CD Projekt RED has unleashed a giant horned monster to punish players attempting to amass unlimited money in their popular role-playing video game, "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt."
The creative punishment comes in the form of a chort, a giant horned monster that appears in Level 27 to keep players from killing and respawning cows to sell their hides to nearby merchants.

Described as smaller than fiends, but dangerous enough to kill, chorts can stand upright, eat cabbage, play pranks and create mischief, destroying farmsteads and devouring everything in sight, including the household pets and whole families.
Chorts appear around Level 27 when players kill too many cows for their hides, then wait for them to respawn to begin the process all over again to gather enough hides to sell to merchants.
In CD Projekt RED's latest patch notes for the recently released Patch 1.05 for PC, the developer effectively fixed this loophole with the appearance of a chort each time it is determined a player has been respawning too many cows for profit.
Chorts in "The Witcher 3" have been designed to charge characters and swipe at them with sharp claws. However, after having killed the first, another respawns to take its place. With several chorts appearing in succession, a player looking to amass wealth via farming cows will be prevented from doing so.
"The Witcher 3's" single player exploits don't cause too much damage; however, they can still disrupt a player's game balance. The developer has designed the game to ensure players can't get a surfeit of gold, completed quests don't award a surplus of money, and any cash the player does earn goes toward repairing or purchasing gear.
This ensures players won't be able to simply steamroll through missions, but enjoy every single facet of gameplay "The Witcher 3" has to offer.
