Chicago Bulls Trade Rumors 2015: Team Getting Desperate for a Wing Player

The Chicago Bulls think they don't have the right pieces to contend for another championship; it's been quite a while since this franchise last tasted the atmosphere of an NBA Finals. With a new coach and a new outspoken and very determined star, it looks like they're on the right track.

However, multiple reports say that the team is still looking for help in the wing position and the front office is quite desperate about that need. There is even talks that the franchise is willing to let go of their frontline including Spanish veteran Pau Gasol, Frenchman Joakim Noah, and Taj Gibson.

The Bulls have a decent 15-11 record, but looking deeper, they actually lost three consecutive games, and by the looks of it, there really is an obvious need for a shooting guard or small forward who can spread the floor and hit the outside shot. Now if they wish to save this season and hope for a deeper push in the playoffs, then they have to work faster because the Feb. 19 trade deadline is quickly approaching.

It is not clear, though, how they'd get a highly touted and talented wing player with the kind of players they are willing to trade. Gibson is just 30 years old and he'll be a free agent at the end of next season, while Noah will opt for free agency at this season's end. Gasol, on the other hand, will be a free agent and has the right to decline his player option.

One cause for concern, though, is that Noah recently injured his shoulder, sidelining him for at least two weeks. It means that there might only be very few teams that will signify their intention in trading for him.

But it really makes sense if they unload at least one of the frontcourt players since the Bulls are known in the league as having the deepest frontline in the NBA. They might be more than willing to give up one in exchange of a very good wing who can score the ball a lot.
