Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers Playoffs 2016 Preview, Team News: AFC Wild Card Battle

The regular season is over, and teams are prepping for the postseason grind. For the AFC Wild Card Game, the Cincinnati Bengals will be hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, Jan. 9, at the Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.

The Steelers barely made it to this point, seeing themselves pushed to the limit by the Cleveland Browns in their regular season finale. The regular season record no longer matters and the only thing the team wants to see right now is consistency.

The Bengals, on the other hand, won the AFC North, but they are far from happy how things have turned out, especially with the current status of Andy Dalton. They may be a slight favorite to win this game, but can they make it without Dalton in case?

Pittsburgh Steelers preview

Ben Roethlisberger performed well once again in their last game, completing 24 out of 36 passes, producing 349 yards, to go along with three touchdowns over a couple of interceptions. The primary concern for the coaching staff is making sure Big Ben is healthy the rest of the way, especially after suffering a string of injuries all throughout the regular season. Fitzgerald Toussaint will once again become a key player on the ground, as well as Antonio Brown and Darrius Heyward-Bey. But another issue coming out of the Steelers' camp is if DeAngelo Williams can play. The star running back is still suffering from an ankle injury and the team's offense will be significantly reduced to half without him.

Cincinnati Bengals preview

The Bengals won against the Baltimore Ravens the last time out, with AJ McCarron playing good but not great football. To have the edge against the experienced Steelers, they will have to rely on Jeremy Hill on the ground and Tyler Eifert and Marvin Jones on the receiving end. All three key contributors gave it their all against the Ravens and they're expected to do the same on Saturday.
