The WWE Champion and the controversial singer have had a short history. The two started their war of words after CM Punk posted a message on his Twitter account stating that he wanted to "curb stomp that ****" for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in Feb. 2009.

Brown responded and tried to deflect attention by posting on his own Twitter page that Punk, whose real name is Phil Brooks, took steroids.

Brown tweeted: "@CMpunk needs more followers. He's such a leader! Not to mention the roids hes on has made it utterly impossible for him pleasure a women."

Not finding Twitter as an adequate forum to express his feelings, Punk posted a video on YouTube telling the 22-year-old that he is "not a man" and offering up a challenge that would put Punk and Brown in a no-holds barred match. Punk insisted that all the proceeds would go toward a women shelter.

In the video Punk, 33, said: "I'm a life-long, proud, drug-free straight edge individual so Chris and I come from two completely different worlds. I don't have a manager, I don't have a bodyguard, I don't have an assistant, I have no need for a PR team what to tweet or when to delete tweets and I don't hit women. Period."

Punk continues to state in the video that: "Chris Brown isn't a man and that's fine. I just know that someday, somewhere somehow, somebody will put Chris Brown exactly where he belongs and that obviously doesn't have to be me I would just really like it to be."

Brown, who was sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community service for his violent attack, has yet to accept the wrestler's invitation.

But, that doesn't mean that he has not responded. Brown has posted several Twitter responses.

Brown wrote: "@cmpunk the video u just posted was cute! It's so funny how defensive u are. And the fact that I really don't know who you are and could give a **** is the funny part!"

The R&B singer also quipped: "I really hope this 15 minutes of fame is paying you for the long run becuz music last forever! Wrestlers come and go according to ratings!"
