Darrelle Revis Suffers Another Injury During Week 3, Football Fans Send Well Wishes

Darrelle Revis, New York Jets cornerback, suffered from a non-contact knee injury in a game against the Miami Dolphins that resulted in his being carted off of the field on Sunday.

Revis, 27, went down while trying to defend a reverse screen pass. The four-time Pro Bowler seemed to be attempting to tackle receiver Daniel Thomas before his knee buckled.

Although Revis initially walked off of the football field on his own accord, he was later wheeled off to the locker room. The injury comes to Revis after he missed week two of the NFL, due to a concussion brought about by teammate Bart Scott who accidentally kicked him in the head.

The cornerback's coverage skills seemed to be missed by his team last Sunday when he was recovering from the mild concussion, resulting in his team losing to the Pittsburgh Steeler 27-10 during week two of the NFL.

After missing week two, Revis expressed regret for not being able to help his teammates.

"I really wanted to be out there to play with my teammates," Revis said in a Washington Post report. "You know, looking at the tape, there's things we did that we can easily correct. Not taking anything away from the Steelers, who are a great team. But there's things we need to clean up on our end for us to be better."

When the CB went down on Sunday against the Dolphins, multiple people took to Twitter to wish him well.

"Prayin for my bro @Revis24," New York Knicks guard Iman Shumpert tweeted after Revis was carted off of the field.

Merril Hoge, retired NFL running back, also wished Revis well on Twitter.

"Hoping @revis24 is ok! He is one of the great players in this league and we need him on Sunday," Hoge tweeted.
