One member of the "Duck Dynasty" clan is preparing for marriage after proposing to his girlfriend on Oct. 11.

John Luke Robertson, the 19-year-old son of Willie and Korie Robertson, decided to use his birthday as the perfect setting for his proposal to girlfriend Mary Kate McEacharn.

"I am so excited to marry my best friend," John Luke told Us Weekly. "I know my parents married young as well, and they have always been examples of what 'could be' to me. Fast-forward 22 years and they are more in love than ever, and I hope Mary Kate and I are the same way in the years to come. God has truly blessed us."

The newly engaged couple took to Instagram to share the good news with family and friends, as well as fans of the hit series "Duck Dynasty." In one photo, Mary Kate shows her engagement ring while John Luke holds up a sign reading "Future Mrs. Robertson" with an arrow pointing to her.

The entire Robertson clan relies on their faith and trusts God with their relationships and every other aspect of their lives. Willie and Korie have been married for 22 years, after meeting at elementary school and then exchanging vows when they were 19 and 18, respectively. Both graduated from Harding University.

"God and our faith is what sustains us," Korie told FOX411 in March. "It's what makes our life good."

Willie, the third son of patriarch Phil Robertson, has been outspoken about his own faith and relationship with Korie. The couple actually had roles in the hit film "God's Not Dead."

"God's blessed us with a lot of opportunities," Willie said. "Just like the movie 'God's Not Dead,' there's that element of faith that you have to have faith."

The Robertson family is well-known for having lasting marriages based in faith; Phil and his wife Miss Kay have been open about the struggles they overcame in their own relationship.

The newly engaged couple has not released a date yet or a time frame for their wedding.
