Duggar Daughter Courting, Planning 'Big Family' With Boyfriend

Jessa Duggar and boyfriend Ben Seewald may be in the middle of courtship, but they are already talking about their desire for a large family. First, though, they are eagerly awaiting their first kiss, which they will save for their wedding.

"Things are going great," Jessa told People. "We are looking forward to what the future holds. We both want to have a big family. We are talking about our goals and the future with family. We have both talked about adoption and want to adopt, too."

Jessa and Ben are taking things slow and getting to know one another intimately before getting engaged and considering having a family. It's the way the Duggar family has always worked, and it has worked well for oldest brother Josh, who married his wife Anna and now has two children. Older sister Jill recently announced her engagement to Derick Dillard, and both older siblings have been active participants in Jessa's courtship with Ben.

"It's a bittersweet time," mom Michelle said. "Some of the little ones don't like change but I remind them that we get to visit Josh and Anna and remind them how fun that is."

Ben is no stranger to a large family; he is the oldest of seven children and knows just how important that role is. He and Jessa are very religious and their relationship is centered on the plan of marriage in the near future. Even though he is only 18 and Jessa 21, Ben has no qualms about commitment or taking the next step.

"Just because you are young, it doesn't mean that you are not ready for life," he told People. "I want to encourage people to embrace adulthood. There is responsibility that comes with it and great reward. Jessa and I both have the same love for God and we really care about people. We have a lot of the same desires and goals in life."

Watch Jessa and Ben's relationship unfold on this season of "19 Kids & Counting," which airs on TLC.
