'Elementary' Season 4 Episode 8 Spoilers: Sherlock, Joan On The Hunt For A Copycat Killer
This week, Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and his trusty companion, Joan Watson (Lucy Liu), will be following the trail of a copycat killer as CBS' hit drama TV series "Elementary" Season 4 continues.
According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the episode titled "A Burden of Blood," the duo will be called in to investigate a murder case. What is interesting is that the victim was murdered in a manner similar to the method of an infamous serial killer. Sending more chills down one's spine is the fact that the aforementioned criminal is already locked up in prison and it doesn't seem possible for the crime to be credited to him.
So who exactly is the perpetrator behind the bloody act? It appears that Holmes and Watson are going after a copycat - a person who imitates the works of his hero, be it good or bad.
The TFC summary went on to indicate that aside from the pressing matter, Sherlock and Joan will also be busy helping Detective Bell (Jon Michael Hill) prepare for the latter's upcoming police sergeant examination which, if he passes, will enable him to get a promotion and a post at another precinct.
Carter Matt, meanwhile, pointed out the growing closeness between Bell and Joan, which might have fans probably wondering by now if there's something between them.
According to the publication, like the viewers, Sherlock will be having some "very heightened suspicions" about them when the next episode airs. The sleuth might even demand for things to stop "for some professional reason or another…," the site wrote. Perhaps, him helping Bell pass the exam and get the promotion is a way for him to finally get rid of the other male. However, there's also a huge possibility that there's nothing going on between the two at all.
Find out how these things unfold when "Elementary" Season 4 airs this Thursday, Jan. 14, at 10 p.m. on CBS.
