Farmer Crushes Cop Cars With Tractor for $300,000 Worth of Vengeance

A local farmer, angry over being arrested, has decided to turn a Vermont police station into a monster truck show by crushing a number of police vehicles with his tractor.

Roger Pion, 34, was furious after police arrested him for possession of marijuana. He was later charged for both the drugs and resisting arrest. However after he was later released, Pion could not overcome his anger at being arrested and decided to take matters into his own hands.

In a fit of frustration Pion drove his tractor to the Orleans County Sheriff's Department. Once there he proceeded by hauling his tractor over at least seven cars, leaving them completely crushed.

"It's more than half our fleet. We have 11 cars," Chief Deputy Sheriff Phil Brooks told the Burlington Free Press.

To make matters even worse, the police officers inside the building were not aware that the incident had occurred until a 911 call came in. One very noisy air conditioner was apparently to blame. By the time police discovered what had happened they had no vehicles available to pursue the suspect and he easily made his get away.

"We had nothing to pursue him with," Brooks told CBS.

Police caught up to Pion later that afternoon. The farmer now faces a number of far more serious charges, some of which include: several counts of felony, unlawful mischief and one count of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.

"Nobody was hurt. That's the thing everybody's got to cherish," Sheriff Kirk Martin told CBS.

Damages for the incident, however, could end up being over $300,000. The suspected tractor was reported to be over six feet tall with a weight of over 15 tons.
