Galaxy S5 Rumors: Samsung Forced to Drop Curved Display
The latest Galaxy S5 rumors point to Samsung dropping the curved display due to issues with supply.
A source close to the situation claims that Samsung is not able to produce these curved screens at a fast enough pace that will allow it to launch the device in early 2014.
"The current capacity for flexible panels is not high enough for the Galaxy S5, which will be rolled out early next year. Curved ones will be unveiled late next year as a Galaxy variant rather than as a flagship model," said Kim Jong-hyun, an analyst at Seoul-based Eugene Investment & Securities.

Apple is also not expected to adopt curved displays for the iPhone 6 as the only capable suppliers are unable to meet their own needs at this time.
Recent rumors have revealed that Samsung hopes to push out the new flagship before the end of Q1 2014.
Reliable leaker @evleaks took to Twiller this month to announce that AT&T is currently testing a high-res Samsung handset that could end up being the Galaxy S4.
"AT&T is testing a version of that high-res Samsung handset (SM-G900A), giving some support to the theory that it's an int'l flagship (GS5)," tweeted the site.
Other sites such as Android Authority have spotted Samsung handsets in benchmarks with similar model numbers. These devices are believed to have a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and are the SM-G900F and the SM-G900S. This means both of them will feature qHD displays that are more impressive than anything currently found in the market.
Carrier testing does not mean that this will be the final version of the Galaxy S5, or that the release will be right away. However, Samsung will most likely launch this device as fast as possible due to its disappointment with the sales of the Galaxy S4.
